Éco-Nature is planning a vibrant summer season!

Boat rentals, Propulse ton été events, guided activities, day camp and much more!

Laval, May 15, 2024 - Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles will celebrate the arrival of the summer season on Saturday, May 18, with the opening, on weekends and holidays, of the boat rental center located at Berge du Garrot in Laval. As of June 22, the other ERRE terminals, including the reception and service buildings in Rosemère, Boisbriand and Saint-Eustache, will welcome visitors from Wednesday to Sunday, to the delight of the citizens of these riverside towns. The rental center at Berge du Garrot will be in operation 7 days a week thereafter. This will be your chance to explore the shores of the Rivière des Mille Îles, discovering new sites of interest aboard the watercraft of your choice, such as kayaks, canoes, rowboats and paddleboards.

“This summer, the Rivière des Mille Îles will be the playground of choice for young and not-so-young alike, for adventure, fun and rejuvenation in nature. We look forward to welcoming back our loyal clientele, welcoming new explorers and sharing unforgettable moments with them,” said Anaïs Boutin, Éco-Nature's General Director.

Propulse ton été launch events will be held at ERRE terminals in Rosemère (June 23), Boisbriand (June 29) and Saint-Eustache (June 30). During these launch days, a 25% discount will be offered on boat rentals. The launches are sponsored by our partner municipalities. Visitors will also be able to take part in a kiosk hosted by our naturalists, as well as a contest.

The month of June will see the return of guided activities such as family fishing, and kayaking and paddleboard (SUP) initiation courses. Reservations for these activities will be made on the Sport Plus platform, accessible from the Park's website. The Park's flagship activity, Kayak au crépuscule - presented by Pépinière Locas, will also be back in June. Thanks to this partnership, our boat renters will receive a free discount coupon for their next purchases at the plant nursery.

New activities not to miss: Animalier d'un jour, In the Footsteps of Animals rally, themed conferences, Bibitte inédite and more. Our conservation and education teams look forward to introducing young and old to our rich local biodiversity.

Starting June 24, young explorers aged 6 to 14 will be able to explore the wonders of the Rivière des Mille Îles as part of the immersive Aventuriers de nature day camp! Wildlife observation, treasure hunts, an introduction to fishing, time travel and a host of other surprises await you. Psst! There are still a few places left, especially in our brand-new Artists of the Forest theme.

About Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles

Éco-Nature is dedicated to the protection, conservation and enhancement of the Rivière des Mille Îles and its tributaries, with the support and for the benefit of the community. Since 2009, Éco-Nature, in partnership with the Quebec government and in collaboration with the 9 municipalities bordering the river, has been piloting the large-scale project to expand the Refuge faunique de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles.
