Would you like to support Éco-Nature in its efforts?
Here’s how:
Donate
Donate to help the Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in its protection and conservation efforts.
Did you know that you can contribute to the conservation effort by donating your high ecological value property through Environment Canada’s Ecological Gifts Program? Indeed, Éco-Nature can support you and acquire your property in order to protect it in perpetuity and thus contribute to the quality of life of the environment. This program can result in significant tax benefits for you. Contact us for more information and if you are interested in this type of donation.
All funds collected will be used to conserve the rich natural environments of the river and its at-risk species, or will be dedicated to specific causes such as the care and rehabilitation of injured native turtles or the management and creation of habitats for wildlife.
Volunteer
Several activities are organized throughout the year to conserve and protect the Mille Îles River.

Transport of native turtles for the CTRQ
(Offered year-round)
Éco-Nature operates a rehabilitation center for Quebec turtles (CTRQ). The team is made up of professionals, veterinarians and volunteers. Éco-Nature is looking for volunteers to transport turtles during the different stages of the rehabilitation process. Éco-Nature is looking for volunteers to transport injured specimens to the CRTQ and to transport turtle specimens that have been treated and rehabilitated by our team for the return to nature.
If you are interested in this opportunity, you may be added to our list of turtle transport volunteers. You should know that the turtles must be released at the place where they were initially captured and that we serve a large territory (variable distance from our center in Laval).
Cleanup drives
(Offered year-round)
Organize or join a cleanup drive of the Mille Îles River’s banks, on your own or with a team, on foot or by boat. Cleanup drives are usually held between mid-May and mid-October. Contact us for further details.
Planting drives
(Offered in Summer and Fall)
Help restore natural environments, either by improving shorelines or creating pollinator gardens. Check our planting drive dates and join us if you’re available.
Wildlife monitoring
Take part in a bat inventory, share with us your turtle sightings, help monitor wood duck nesting boxes, or patrol natural environments.
Contact us for more details.
