Wearing running shoes to spread joy!

Over the past few days, 16 of our valued partners have been visited by our elves, who have been running to deliver our wishes for the New Year. The initiative caused quite a sensation, and a few smiles along the way! The organization's Executive Director, Anaïs Boutin, and Director of Communications and Marketing, Catherine Angehrn, covered more than 100 km in just 8 outings. Their shared passion for this discipline is highlighted by this initiative.

“For Éco-Nature, it's a unique opportunity to say hello to some of our partners, get some fresh air and encourage physical activity. What's more, the delivery of the greeting cards didn't generate any GHGs, a small plus for the environment” - Anaïs Boutin, Executive Director, Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles

For the turtles

Every year, Éco-Nature sells greeting cards made by local artists to benefit the Centre de réhabilitation des tortues du Québec.

Created in 2016 on park premises, the center's mission is to reduce adult turtle mortality and increase the survival of younger turtles (eggs and newborns) through care, citizen accompaniment and awareness-raising. With the help of volunteer veterinarians and community support, these actions contribute to the recovery of Quebec's native turtle populations, which are in a precarious situation.

Quebec's 8 turtle species are in a precarious situation due to habitat destruction and degradation, increased roadside mortality, excessive egg predation and illegal captivity.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who purchased our cards and natural fir from us during December. Every gesture counts!
