Éco-Nature welcomes Isabelle Labarre as its new Executive Director
Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles is pleased to announce the appointment of Isabelle Labarre to the position of Executive Director. "While it is always sad to lose a member of our family, in this case Mr. Luc Ménard, we are very happy and proud to welcome Ms. Isabelle Labarre. Her expertise in nature tourism, her knowledge of protected areas and her managerial talents will be an excellent support to Éco-Nature's mission," (Translation) said Sophie Rousseau-Loiselle, President of the Board of Directors.
In recent years, Isabelle Labarre has held a number of management roles, notably for Laval Innov, ESG+ (UQÀM) and MOOV Média and Tramway, personal business projects. With her experience in strategic planning, her understanding of transitional issues and her entrepreneurial DNA, Ms. Labarre has arrived at just the right time to support Éco-Nature through the changes that are shaking up tourism businesses and Quebec as a whole.
Isabelle Labarre is no stranger to the challenges of tourism, particularly nature tourism, having worked in the industry for many years. She first worked for major events (Festival d'été de Québec, Carrefour international de théâtre). She then joined Sépaq, as the first product manager for national parks and Auberge de montagne des Chic-Chocs, and later headed up business development at Huttopia Canada.
Luc Ménard is leaving the organization to take up new professional challenges. For more than four years, he led the destinies of Éco-Nature | Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles. These years were marked by many great achievements. During this period, Luc Ménard distinguished himself with the completion and opening of the Exploration Center, a project crowned with several awards, including the Excellence tourisme 2019 award, in the Innovation and Offer Development Initiative category. He also spearheaded the diversification of the offering, the renewal of the brand image and the development of new partnership agreements. Éco-Nature would like to thank him for his time and involvement. We wish Luc all the best for the future!
