Launch of the 2020 summer season
Opening of the boat rental center at Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles
Laval, June 12, 2020 - Sunny days herald the start of the summer season at Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, and the Éco-Nature team is pleased to announce the opening of the boat rental center. Starting June 18, visitors will be able to rent boats on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. As part of this first phase of the gradual reopening, it is important to note that boat rentals will be handled differently to encourage social distancing and the application of the new sanitary measures. This summer, the rental process will take place entirely outdoors.
Customers will therefore have direct access to the rental center, without having to go through the Exploration Center reception desk. What's more, the new three-hour block rental formula will enable all nature lovers to explore the river in complete tranquillity. This extended rental period will also enable the team to clean and disinfect the equipment thoroughly. That said, visitors are strongly advised to bring their own flotation vests.
Watercraft rental activities such as kayaking (single or double), paddleboarding and canoeing are ideal for gathering with loved ones and making up for lost time while respecting social distance. Warm summer days are perfect for discovering the wonderful Rivière des Mille Îles with those you love.
Depending on how the situation evolves and the recommendations of Public Health, other activities will be added to our offer throughout the season. Keep an eye on our social media channels and the park's website for regular programming updates. Respect for the rules and informed planning will make this first phase of our reopening a great success.
