Opening of animated activities and the Aventuriers de nature day camp at Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles

Laval, June 29, 2020 - The Éco-Nature team is pleased to begin the second phase of the opening of Parc de la Rivière-des-Milles-Îles with the launch of the Aventuriers de nature immersive day camp and the return of animated activities for the summer!

Starting today, youngsters aged 6 to 14 can discover the fascinating environment of the Rivière des Mille Îles. Some places are still available for the summer season, allowing a few more children to experience memorable adventures, adapted to their age group and in communion with nature, thanks to the immersive day camp. Keep an eye on our social media channels for available places.

Starting July 3, visitors can also enjoy a wide range of guided and animated activities: kayak and paddleboard lessons, an exhibition and discovery of the laboratory, kayaking at dusk and, finally, the cruise, which starts in mid-July. At the Exploration Center, don't miss the Believe it or not! exhibition and a visit to the turtles in residence at the Ecology Laboratory. Due to sanitary measures, these activities are open to the general public only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Depending on availability, you may be offered the option of being accompanied by a guide. This is your chance to learn more about the river's rich wildlife and history!

The twilight kayaking activity, led by a guide, lets you discover the park in a magical setting. At sunset, when the wildlife comes to life, participants will have the chance to observe all the animals hiding on the islands. Peaceful and memorable!

Returning this summer, the popular cruise aboard the Héron Bleu will invite visitors to cruise the river's largest archipelago in good company, admiring the wonders of its flora and fauna from July 7 onwards. However, due to social distancing measures, places will be limited for the season. We strongly recommend that you reserve your place as soon as possible for this exciting adventure.

Finally, Rivière-des-Milles Park will also be offering introductory courses in kayaking (single or double) and paddleboarding. It's the perfect opportunity to learn the rudiments of these water sports accompanied by experts!

All these activities will introduce you to the fascinating world of Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, and create lasting memories for young and not-so-young alike.
